Flamboyant New York Designer Trades Hampton Mansion for Malibu Trailer Park
Mind you, the mobile at this trailer park costs around $2 million.

Malibu, CA — Flamboyant New York designer Betsey Johnson is trading her mansion in East Hampton for a mobile home in Malibu, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The designer has sold her Hamptons home for $1.5 million to buy a mobile home in Paradise Cove. Johnson told the WSJ she's was tired of taking care of her house and wanted a simpler "doll house." Her new mobile home is 1,400-square feet. For comparison, her Hamptons home was 2,900-square feet on a 1.65 acres lot.
Johnson, 73, moved to Malibu because she said she wanted to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. The designer, known for her vibrant, colorful collection, said she chose Paradise Cove because of its “amazing community of surfer dudes.”
