Four Rescued As Power Boat Sinks In Malibu

A 47-foot power boat sank this afternoon after taking on water while in the water off Malibu.

MALIBU, CA — A 47-foot power boat sank this afternoon off Malibu after taking on water, but all four people on board were safely rescued by lifeguards.

The boat was reported to be taking on water at about 12:45 p.m., just off the coast, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Lifeguards took the four people onto a Bay Watch boat, a dispatcher said.
