- Why Go:Â The excitement of the big rivalry game has lost a little luster because Gonzaga is not playing this season like the powerhouse it had been for more than a decade. But this could mean Pepperdine has a good chance to win. The atmosphere is always festive for this game.

- Why Go:Â Malibu Film Society hosts the final local screening this year of the movie several experts expect to win the best picture Oscar. An audience Q+A session with Malibu cinematographer Jeff Cronenweth follows.
