Malibu Election: 5 Candidates Run For 3 City Council Seats

Incumbents will face off against several challengers vying for Malibu City Council seats in the Nov. 5 election.

MALIBU, CA — Five candidates have thrown their hats into the race for three City Council seats up for grabs in the Nov. 5 election.

The three seats are currently held by council members Paul Grisanti, Steve Uhring and Bruce Silverstein, all of whom are seeking reelection, according to the City Clerk.

C. Channing Frykman and Haylynn Conrad are also each seeking one of the three seats, which have four-year terms.

The field of five formed after a total of 11 candidates pulled nomination papers. Six filed paperwork by last month's deadline; Kevin Shenkman withdrew his candidacy.
