Malibu to Host Battle of the Bands

Malibu students will compete in the Battle of the Bands in April.

The concert, which is put on by the City of Malibu's Harry Barovsky Memorial Youth Commission and the Boys and Girls Club of Malibu Teen Center, is set for 6 p.m. Friday, April 19 at Malibu City Hall.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.  

Additional event highlights include a food truck and raffle prizes. Tickets will be available at the door for $5.

Bands are encouraged to submit a performance application. The application deadline is Friday, March 22. All members of the band must be in high school or middle school.  Applications are available at www.malibucity.org or by calling (310) 456-2489 ext. 350.
