Oscar Winner Busted For Speeding On PCH Amid Crackdown On Fast Driving: Report

MALIBU, CA — Sean Penn was recently cited for speeding on Pacific Coast Highway, according to a report.

Penn was pulled over on PCH at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday while he was driving an SUV at 43 mph. The speed limit in the area is 25 mph because of ongoing construction on the road, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Authorities in Malibu have doubled down on traffic enforcement on PCH in recent years following a 2023 crash that killed four Pepperdine University students who were standing on the side of the road.

The man accused in the crash is facing four murder and vehicular manslaughter charges. Authorities say he was driving in excess of 100 mph at the time of the collision.
