Residents Must Conserve Water This Week During System Work In Malibu: Officials

MALIBU, CA — Malibu residents were asked to conserve water beginning Tuesday evening while crews work on the water system.

The Los Angeles County Waterworks Districts will perform "additional system work" beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday. The work will continue into Wednesday afternoon, according to the city.

"Water service will not be interrupted, but all customers are asked to conserve water to help maintain system stability," reads a city statement. "Please stop all outdoor water use and limit indoor water use to essential needs only (cooking and bathing)."

Residents will be notified when the work is finished, city officials said.

Officials did not specify the nature of the work being completed.
