Comedy to Feature 13 MHS Alumni

The theater production will be the first time a group of MHS alumni have come together for a special performance.

More than a dozen Malibu High School alumni will come together this month for a special performance of the comedy The Great Easter Egg Hunt.

The show is set for 8 p.m. July 6-7 at .

"The Malibu community has always been so supportive of the MHS theatre program, and coming together through our performance has been one of our favorite ways to connect back to the community," according to Marin Hope, who graduated from Malibu High School in 2005.

Written by playwright Ken Jones, The Great Easter Egg Hunt follows the comic journey of an isolated small town as the citizens vie for the ultimate prize: a golden egg.

The performance, which was organized by Malibu High School Theatre Director Jodi Plaia, marks the first time Malibu High School alum have reconnected to return their performing roots, Hope said.
