Stolen Range Rover Spotted 300 Feet Over Deck Canyon Road

A stolen Range Rover was discovered 300 feet over the side of Decker Canyon Road in Malibu Monday.

The vehicle was reported by a Caltrans crew at 7:23 a.m. Monday on Decker Canyon Road, one mile north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to David Katz, a spokesman with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Malibu Search and Rescue (SAR).

Malibu SAR and L.A. County Fire Station 72 members hiked down to the vehicle, but did not find any victims, Katz said.

The vehicle was reported stolen, which is a common occurence in the Santa Monica Mountains, he said.
