Firefighters Knock Down House Fire In Malibu

The fire was north of City Hall and smoke was visible from the Civic Center area, the City of Malibu said.

MALIBU, CA — A one-story home caught fire in the 23800 block of Harbor Vista Drive in Malibu Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The fire was reported at 11:43 a.m., and 18 firefighters on scene knocked down the fire by 11:55 a.m. The first firefighters on scene reported "well-involved" flames on the front and left side of the home, an L.A. County Fire Department representative told Patch.

The fire was north of City Hall and smoke was visible from the Civic Center area, the City of Malibu said.
