Team Raises Funds in Memory of Malibu Search and Rescue Member's Wife
Deena Katz, the wife of Malibu Search and Rescue member David Katz, died in March following a long battle with breast cancer.
A local team is raising money for cancer research by taking part in the Revlon Run/Walk for Women this weekend.
Team Deena—named in honor of Deena Katz, the wife of Malibu Search and Rescue member David Katz—is currently the leading fund raiser for the event. Deena Katz died in March following a long battle with breast cancer at the age of 48.
The Revlon Run/Walk for Women is set for 8 a.m. May 11 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park. The team had raised more than $33,000 as of Tuesday afternoon.
