Thieves Steal Jewelry, Coins, Golf Clubs From Around Malibu

Several burglaries over the past week have been reported in several neighborhoods.

Burglars struck several homes and vehicles across Malibu this week, stealing jewelry, a television, a coin collection and golf clubs.

The most recent burglary was reported at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 22 on Bonsall Drive in Malibu, when a woman returned home and discovered a French door had been smashed and tossed on the ground, according to the Lost Hills/Malibu Sheriff's Station.

The burglar ransacked her home, taking $400 in jewelry, a $500 Samsung 30 inch LCD television set and a designer purse.

The investigation is ongoing.

A few days earlier, a man discovered that his $1,400 set of Callaway Iron golf clubs had been stolen from the back of his Cadillac Escalade SUV on Victoria Road in Malibu. He discovered the theft when he realized the back of his car was not opening and closing properly.

A third burglary was reported at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 15 at an apartment on Cavalleri Road, where a thief entered through an unlocked slider door.

A man reported that a necklace worth $1,500, a Fossil wrist watch worth $150 and a coin collection were taken.
