Repair Work on Water Main Blocks Lane on PCH

The work is delaying traffic on Pacific Coast Highway in eastern Malibu.

Repair work on a 30-inch water main prompted the closure of an eastbound lane of Pacific Coast Highway Tuesday in Malibu.

A Los Angeles County Public Works crew began work on the pipe about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 19200 block of Pacific Coast Highway near Tuna Canyon Road, according to Scott Wagenseller of Malibu Patrol.

Water was turned off to residents within a one-mile area. The work will be completed by midnight, Wagenseller said.
