1 Dead, 1 Wounded in South Bay Shooting

The shooting happened around 12:40 a.m. Tuesday in the 14700 block of Crenshaw Boulevard in Gardena, authorities said.

GARDENA, CA — The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting in unincorporated Gardena that left a man dead and another hospitalized early Tuesday morning.

It's not yet clear what exactly led up to the shooting, but the LASD said gunfire erupted around 12:40 a.m. in the 14700 block of Crenshaw Boulevard.

There, deputies found a man with multiple gunshot wounds, the LASD said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, authorities said. His identity was not immediately released.

A second man with gunshot wounds was also taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later released, according to the LASD.
