Thousands Flock To Manhattan Beach For Annual Fireworks Show

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The skies over the Manhattan Beach Pier were illuminated Sunday, as the 37th Annual Skechers Manhattan Beach Holiday Fireworks Show ushered in the holiday season.

The city bustled with thousands of people gathered to watch this year's show, produced by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce.

"From just 500 spectators in 1989, the fireworks now draw an estimated 40,000 people annually, making it one of the South Bay’s most anticipated events," according to the event's website.
