$15,000 Reward For Info About Masked Armed Robber In South Bay: FBI

EL SEGUNDO, CA —The Federal Bureau of Investigation is offering a $15,000 reward for anyone who has information that could lead to the arrest of a man who robbed an armored truck in El Segundo at gunpoint.

On Feb. 21, 2023, the armored truck driver was parked at a bank located at 835 North Pacific Coast Highway when the suspect robbed the truck at gunpoint.

"After fleeing the bank, the suspect was seen entering the passenger seat of a maroon-colored sedan," the FBI said in a statement.

At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing an orange reflective vest, a blue cloth mask, a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black shoes. He was described to be approximately 40 years old with a thin build and about 5 feet 11 inches tall.

According to the FBI, the suspect has moles or skin tags behind his right ear.
