MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.
From Feb. 15 to 21 there were:
- 695 calls for service
- 19 arrests
- 18 traffic collisions
- 29 crime reports taken

- On Feb. 15 officers were notified that an embezzled vehicle. When police located the car, they conducted a "high-risk traffic stop" and the driver was arrested.
- On Feb. 15 a theft in progress involving six juvenile suspects was reported at Macy's. When officers arrived, police watched the group leave the store and run away when they spotted MBPD. After a short foot pursuit, five of the six juveniles were arrested, taken into custody and released to their parents with court dates.
- On Feb. 16 police were told that a stolen car was traveling northbound on Aviation Boulevard. When police located the car, they conducted a "high-risk traffic stop" and the driver was arrested.
- On Feb. 16 a burglary alarm went off at BevMo, triggering MBPD to respond to the business at about 3:56 a.m. At the scene, police saw a window was broken and there was a broken bottle of alcohol in front of the store entrance. Surveillance video from the store showed a white sedan and a white SUV parked in front of the store.
