Aviation Blvd. to Be Closed Tuesday for 6 Hours

Police will be investigating last week's fatal car collision.

Drivers are advised to avoid Aviation Boulevard from Artesia to Manhattan Beach boulevards Tuesday beginning at 9 a.m. as police investigate the Oct. 9 fatal car collision.
 
North and south bound lanes will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, according to Redondo Beach police. The closure is expected to last until 3 p.m.
 
Two vehicles collided on Oct. 9 around 5:35 p.m. A 62-year-old man was killed. He has not yet been identified, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The traffic collision happened on the Redondo Beach side of Aviation Boulevard and the city's police department is "actively seeking information about the collision."
