BCHD Candidate Debate On Zoom; Two Manhattan Beach Women Running

Two Manhattan Beach candidates for three open seats on Beach Cities Health District board will debate three other candidates Mon., 10/12.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Two Manhattan Beach women are vying for one of three open seats in a field of five candidates [including themselves] on the Board of Directors of the Beach Cities Health District and are set to appear Monday, Oct. 12 in an online Zoom election debate hosted by the Easy Reader. Start time is 7 p.m.

Three incumbents on the BCHD board are running to be reelected; Manhattan Beach residents Karen Komatinsky and Martha Koo are running to provide voices for Manhattan Beach as well as Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach. BCHD serves Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach communities and its headquarters have been in Redondo Beach since its inception in 1955.

Incumbents Vish Chatterji, Jane Diehl and Vanessa Poster all live in Redondo Beach, where BCHD has been headquartered since 1955.
