Boxer Still Ahead Of Brunick In Manhattan Beach School Board Race

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Jason Boxer continues to hold on to second place over Mike Brunick in the race for a board of trustees seat in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District. Leader Cathey Graves has always held the top spot so far since election night. Only two seats are available, hence, the interest in the race between Boxer and Brunick as votes are tallied.

As of the latest count by the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office, Graves has 10,014 votes with 32.06%. Boxer has 7,490 votes and Brunick has 7,185, with 23.98% and 23% respectively. Heather de Roos has 6,549 votes with 20.96%.

The LA County Registrar is counting votes cast by Nov. 3rd as they arrive by mail or Vote Center drop off. Individuals who returned their ballots without a signature or one that matches the one on their voter registration documents are also being advised of what they need to do and by when to have their votes count.
