Burglary Suspect Crashes Car, Flees Into Manhattan Beach Neighborhood
Manhattan Beach Police arrested a man on suspicion of burglary in relation to an incident in Hermosa Beach.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach police officers arrested a man in connection to a residential burglary in Hermosa Beach on Sunday.
At about 8: 30 a.m., a Manhattan Beach Police Department officer spotted a car that had reportedly fled the scene of a burglary. After a short pursuit, the suspect crashed his car and ran into a residential neighborhood, police said.
While officers looked for the suspect, they instructed residents in the area of 5th and 6th Streets east of Sepulveda Boulevard to stay secure in their homes.

With the help of MBPD's police dogs, officers located the suspect.
"He eventually tried to run out of the perimeter as our 4 legged officers got close, but was quickly arrested," MBPD said on Facebook.

Officers sent residents the all-clear at about 12:20 p.m. after the suspect was arrested. The investigation is still ongoing.
