Couple Arrested After Being Pulled Over In Manhattan Beach: Police Say

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A husband and wife were arrested after police say they were pulled over for a traffic violation in Manhattan Beach.

When a night patrol officer pulled over the couple Friday evening, the officer found the husband, who was “on parole for armed robbery,” had fentanyl in his pocket and methamphetamine in the backseat, the Manhattan Beach Police Department said.

“The wife (also a convicted felon) was in the passenger seat and had this loaded gun in her jacket pocket,” according to police.

The husband and wife were each arrested and booked into jail, police said.

“Starting off 2026 with an arraignment and jail time isn't exactly ideal,” police said.
