Decision on Gelson's in Manhattan Beach Delayed
The commissioners voted to postpone discussions on the project until March 22 to ask city staff for more data about the proposed development

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- The Manhattan Beach Planning Commission on Wednesday delayed rendering a decision on a proposal to build an upscale Gelson's market, according to the Daily Breeze.
Close to 50 people spoke about the proposal at the meeting with nearly half of those opposing the project, the Daily Breeze reported.
Some people were concerned about the potential impact of traffic, parking noise and accidents caused by the proposed development at Sepulveda Boulevard and Eighth Street, according to the Daily Breeze.

The commissioners voted to postpone discussions on the project until March 22 to ask city staff for more data about the proposed 35,000-square-foot development's impact, the Daily Breeze reported.
“I would like a lot more detail,” Commissioner Chris Conaway said at the end of the meeting. “I came tonight with a couple pages worth of in-the-weeds questions and things I wanted to have addressed, and I don’t feel that we can really do that without a full staff report.”
