MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A speeding car spotted by a Manhattan Beach Police Officer late last night crashed into curbing where Rosecrans Avenue dead ends into The Strand in Manhattan Beach, according to a post on MBPD's Facebook page.

The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and for driving with a suspended license, says MBPD. No one was injured in the crash. There was property damage to the curb and vehicle.

The MBPD officer saw the car speeding and had to turn around to pursue it. The driver had driven the car into the curb when the officer arrived.
