UPDATE: Embassy Suites in El Segundo Evacuated Because of Honey Oil Lab
Initial reports indicated there may have been a meth lab in the room, but police said later that someone was trying to extract honey oil

Noxious fumes from some type of drug operation forced the evacuation of an Embassy Suites hotel in El Segundo Monday, and two responding police officers had to be hospitalized.
Police were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. regarding a possible drug operation in one of the rooms at the hotel in the 1400 block of East Imperial Avenue, El Segundo police Lt. Scott Doukakis said. Around 4 p.m., two officers walked into the room and were overcome with fumes, and were taken to a hospital, he said.
Initial reports indicated there may have been a meth lab in the room, but police said later that someone was trying to extract THC from marijuana.
