Attempted Murder Suspect In Manhattan Beach Shooting In Custody

The woman is alleged to have opened fire early Tuesday morning at a couple in a vehicle at The Residence Inn in Manhattan Beach, say police.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A woman has been arrested for attempted murder after firing gun shots at a couple in a vehicle at The Residence Inn in Manhattan Beach early Tuesday morning, say Manhattan Beach Police. The incident occurred around 3:14 a.m. with multiple callers reporting the sound of gun fire.

Sharday Tinker, 33 years old and a resident of Culver City, was taken into custody by the Manhattan Beach Police Department yesterday afternoon, according to a news release today. Community Affairs Sergeant Tim Zins yesterday said the shooting was "targeted" and the at-large suspect, whom police had identified, was not a threat to the community.

Manhattan Beach Patch has learned that Manhattan Beach Police fielded another call reporting the sound of gun shots at The Residence Inn, 1700 North Sepulveda Boulevard, on Monday, August 24 at 1:14 a.m. however, when officers arrived, they found no evidence a shooting had occurred, Zins said.
