Important Dates in Manhattan Village Mall Enhancement Project

Renderings, site plans and a model of the Manhattan Village Shopping Center's proposed enhancement plan will be available for viewing Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. The display will be inside the mall in center court near the food vendors.

Mall representatives will be on hand to answer questions.

The mall's proposed enhancement plan could be approved by City Council as soon as Sept. 17 after two more public hearings set for Tuesday night and the 17th.

Residents who live close to the mall say that traffic and crime could escalate; others think the enhancement is long overdue and needed.

If you'd like to publicly tell City Council what you think of the proposed enhancement or hear others do so, attend the Tuesday night public hearing held as part of an adjourned regular council meeting. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in council chambers at city hall, 1400 Highland Avenue.
