Junior Lifeguards Registration Opens In Los Angeles County
The Los Angeles County Fire Department's Junior Lifeguard Program is open for applications.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Junior Lifeguard Program is open for applications beginning Tuesday, officials said.
The program is open to children ages 9 to 17. Registration closes on April 6.
The mission of the Los Angeles County Fire Department’s Junior Lifeguard Program is to educate ocean and beach safety, physical conditioning, basic first aid, and environmental awareness while developing the next generation of lifeguards and future leaders.

To apply, students must register on the website, select 10 beaches they want to enroll at, times and sessions. Applicants must also take a swim test and select a time and location. Several consent forms are also required. Duplicate applications will not be accepted.
