MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The following is the most recent Manhattan Beach Police Department crime summary.

From April 18 to 24 there were:

  • 704 calls for service
  • 19 arrests
  • 19 traffic collisions
  • 67 crime reports taken

  • Between April 16 and 17 suspects pried open a locked wooden shed at Live Oak Park and stole a pitching machine that belonged to the Manhattan Beach Little League, MBPD said. No additional details were available.
  • According to police, a suspect stole the battery off of an e-bike that was chained to a metal bar. The bike's owner told police they had stepped away and came back to the battery being gone.
