Man Fatally Shot During Fight Inside South Bay 7-Eleven
The shooting happened just after 8 p.m. Sunday in the 15800 block of Prairie Avenue in Lawndale, according to authorities.
LAWNDALE, CA — Deputies are investigating a shooting inside a Lawndale convenience store that left a man dead Sunday night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities say the man was buying drinks at a 7-Eleven in the 15800 block of Prairie Avenue just after 8 p.m. when another person walked inside.
The man and that other person exchanged a few words before a fight broke out between them, according to the LASD. At some point, the other person pulled out a gun and shot the man, authorities said.

The suspect drove off westbound through a nearby alley while the man who was shot collapsed at the store, authorities said. The man, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene, according to authorities.
It's unclear if the man and the suspect knew each other or what was said before the fight broke out.
