Manhattan Beach Artist Feature in Inaugural "Water & Wood" Art Exhibit in Hermosa Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- A Manhattan Beach artist will be among the more than 35 artists featured at the inaugural "Water & Wood" art and photography exhibit in Hermosa Beach.
Jeff Fieger, who grew up in Manhattan Beach and spent a few years in Hawaii, says he's a surfer "through and through" and that is reflected in his art, the Beach Reporter reported.
Fieger drew his inspiration from Rick Griffin's psychedelic rock poster art and Drew Brophy's modern ocean art, according to the Beach Reporter. His works are mainly vibrant ocean scenes, according to the Beach Reporter.

Artists at the "Water & Wood" exhibit will be showing what their interpretation of the water and wood concept, organizers said. Works include fine art, photography, mixed media and sculptures, according to the nonprofit Hermosa Beach Artist Collective, which is hosting the show.
The exhibit opens at Hermosa Design, 618 Cypress Ave., Saturday with an opening party from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The show runs 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Feb. 18. A closing party will be held from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18.
