Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair And 10K Return This Weekend

Get ready for a busy weekend in Manhattan Beach!

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair and 10K Run are coming up this Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and 6.

"With a hometown feel and a place for everyone, The Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair has had the privilege of celebrating the South Bay community for 47 years," the website said.

The fair is run by a 20-person volunteer board, in partnership with the city of Manhattan Beach, and tens of thousands of people are expected to attend. There will be three stages for entertainment, along with a beer and wine garden, paid and free games, a community showcase and more.

The 42nd annual Manhattan Beach 10K is also on Saturday, October 5, beginning at 7:30 a.m.

"Experience one of the most scenic 10k courses in the South Bay with live music and volunteer mile timers calling out split times at every mile," the Manhattan Beach 10K website said. "Over 3,500 runners will take to the streets for this moderate-to-slightly difficult course through downtown and residential Manhattan Beach, finishing at the Manhattan Beach Pier."

Get ready for a busy weekend in Manhattan Beach! There will be restricted parking and street closures on several streets. Valley Drive between Blanche Road and 15th Street will be closed beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 4, until early morning on Monday, October 7. Here is more information on road closures.
