MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The COVID-19 pandemic may have shut down the annual Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair in 2020, but there are still several ways you can engage in the fun and support local organizations in the process.
Four Manhattan Beach restaurants in downtown Manhattan Beach are continuing the Fair tradition of offering Fair favorites. Pepper Bellies, Funnel Cakes, Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Tri-Tip Sandwiches — these are the Fair traditions that are getting a dash of culinary finesse at four restaurants.
Fair lovers will want to check out the 48th Annual "So unFAIR" merchandise, which will be available Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at 13th Street and Morningside Drive on the north side of Metlox Plaza. Fair President Joe Marcy said, "If you already have your merchandise, please wear it this weekend and tag us at #mbhometownfair. The unisex T-shirt is sold out except for adult small sizes; Unisex adult tank tops, unisex adult hoodie pullovers, white hats, 2020 commemorative mugs, a 300-piece puzzle and "So UnFair" full-color beach towel are all available, according to the Fair website at 3:09 p.m. Friday.
