Manhattan Beach Man Honored for Project to Bring Safe Drinking Water to West Africa
Larry Johnson will be honored by Wells Bring Hope on Sunday, Oct. 9 for his $1 million project.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- A past Manhattan Beach Rotary Club president will be honored at a fundraiser this weekend for his work in bringing safe drinking water to West Africa, the Beach Reporter reported.
Larry Johnson will be honored by Wells Bring Hope on Sunday, Oct. 9 for his $1 million project to bring safe, clean drinking water to villages West Africa. Wells Bring Hope is an all volunteer organization that is working on the ongoing water crisis in West Africa.
Johnson began the project through the rotary club and a created the WASH project, a $1 million global grant for water, sanitation and hygiene, according to the Beach Reporter. He worked with various organizations in Southern California and around the world to complete the project.
