Manhattan Beach Non-Profit Hosts City Council Candidate Forum

MB Safe is hosting a Forum tonight on Zoom for the seven Manhattan Beach City Council candidates vying for three seats. Tune in at 7 p.m.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The Manhattan Beach community has another opportunity to hear from the seven candidates vying for three open seats for City Council tonight [Monday, Oct. 5] on Zoom, beginning at 7 p.m. MB Safe is holding the forum.

The deadline for advance questions has closed, however, a post on the organization's private Facebook page reads, "The moderator will screen and ask questions sent via chat room during the forum."

The MB Safe candidate forum comes on the heels of one hosted by the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce last Wednesday.

The seven candidates running for Manhattan Beach City Council are:

  • Mark Burton
  • Phoebe Lyons
  • Grettel Fournell
  • Joe Franklin
  • Richard Montgomery [incumbent]
  • Steve Napolitano [incumbent]
