Manhattan Beach Police Arrest Resident In Shooting Incident
A Manhattan Beach man fired one shot that hit the home next door, according to Manhattan Beach Police, who arrested him without incident.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach Police took a male resident into custody this morning after responding to a call of shots being fired in the El Porto area of North Manhattan Beach. Public Information Officer Chris Ineguez said the man cooperated and came out of his house when officers gave verbal commands for him to do so.
The incident took place in the 200 block of Shell Street near Ocean Drive. Upon arriving, police were told a resident had been seen waving a gun around. MBPD set up a perimeter and told the man to come out of his house, which he did.
PIO Ineguez said a shot was fired from inside the man's home that hit the home next door. No injuries occurred and the incident is not the result of an argument or domestic violence, he noted. CSI is processing the scene and police are still actively working the case. The man was booked.
