Manhattan Beach Police Discover Loaded Gun During Traffic Stop

A graveyard patrol officer pulled the vehicle over for a vehicle code violation. From there, they discovered a loaded firearm and magazines.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A traffic stop of a vehicle for a vehicle code violation led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and five additional loaded magazines, according to a Manhattan Beach Police Department Facebook post issued today [Friday, August 28].

The graveyard patrol officer who conducted the traffic stop also discovered that he believed the driver was operating the motor vehicle under the influence. MBPD officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found the weapon and ammunition. The driver was arrested for multiple charges, according to MBPD.
