Manhattan Beach Police Injured in Crash Home Recovering
The officer was injured in the crash that happened Tuesday on the 91 Freeway in Cerritos.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA -- The Manhattan Beach motorcycle officer who was injured Tuesday in a crash on the 91 Freeway in Cerritos is home recovering, the Manhattan Beach Police Department said Thursday.
"Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes and prayers. Our motor officer was released from the hospital and is resting at home; he is expected to make a full recovery," the department posted on its Facebook page.
The officer was injured in the crash that happened around 5:20 p.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway near the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, according to MBPD Sgt. Tim Zins.

The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
