MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Manhattan Beach Mayor Richard Montgomery is welcoming the newest members of Manhattan Beach with Baby Passports. Charlene and Todd Dipaola's new little one Theodore Michelangelo Dipaola, 1o months, received a Baby Passport during the ceremonial portion of the City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 18.

Said Montgomery, "I started the baby passport program in MB when I was mayor in 2008 -2009. It was modeled after a similar program i saw in Texas, my home state. It has been a big hit for babies born in MB and I believe we have passed over the 100 mark now. It offers our residents a unity item and allows us a chance to share some badly needed 'good news!'"

During tomorrow night's City Council meeting, Mayor Montgomery is expected to award another Baby Passport. This one is going to Knox Stone Charelian, whose parents are Arcie and Steve Charelian. Steve works for the City of Manhattan Beach as its finance director.
