Manhattan Beach's 5th Death From COVID-19 Hits The Seaside City

Manhattan Beach is reporting its 5th death from COVID-19 as numbers continue to decrease in Los Angeles County. See who else has COVID-19.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The City of Manhattan Beach has had a 5th death due to COVID-19, said City Manager Bruce Moe during tonight's live City Council meeting. While the city's numbers of positive cases has held steady for a day at 315, the 5th death in the city occurred a substantial amount of time since the 4th one around July 6th.

Today's COVID-19 data from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health also showed 3 cases reported in the City of Manhattan Beach Public Works Department. Costco in Hawthorne has reported 20 confirmed cases to date. The King's Hawaiian Manufacturing Plant in Torrance has reported 37 cases. The Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo has had 9 cases. The Ralphs Ice Plant and Warehouse in Compton has had 125 cases. Ralphs in El Segundo has had 4. SoFi Stadium Inglewood reports 81 cases. Spago Beverly Hills had had 10 cases to date. The Habit Burger in El Segundo has reported 3.
