Manhattan Beach Market Boards Up; Remains Open Normal Hours
The beachside market in downtown Manhattan Beach is open normal hours though its windows are covered with boards during the election cycle.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA —The popular Manhattan Beach Market in downtown Manhattan Beach is open normal hours even though it is boarded up. The grocery store's owners opted to make preparations for any civil unrest that might occur during the current election.
The market, which features beer, wine and spirits in addition to fresh produce, groceries, and everything you need for a day at the beach, has long been a fixture in downtown MB. If you're looking for a trinket or T-shirt to remind you of Manhattan Beach, the market is the place to stop and shop. It stocks great snacks and cold beverages and ice cream. The popular Manhattan Meats butcher shop is inside the market, as well. Free parking is available behind the building.
Owner Matthew Kim said the market is open its normal hours of Sunday-Thursday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday/Saturday from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. It is located at 1111 Manhattan Avenue and is a "must stop" for residents, beachgoers and tourists alike.
