MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A motorcyclist was seriously hurt Sunday afternoon in a solo crash in Manhattan Beach, according to police.

It's unclear what prompted the crash, and few details were available as of Monday morning. However, police said the crash happened around 5:43 p.m. in the area of Manhattan Beach and Sepulveda boulevards.

The Manhattan Beach Police Department said the driver was taken to a nearby trauma center with life-threatening injuries.
