Noah Park of Manhattan Beach Makes Dean's List At The Citadel

The Manhattan Beach student was among the 1,000 cadets and students who earned the distinction at the classic military education college.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Noah Park of Manhattan Beach has been named to the Dean's List, recognizing him for his academic achievements during the spring 2020 semester at The Citadel, a classic military college located in Charleston, South Carolina. He is among the nearly 1,000 cadets and students who received recognition.

"Recognizing the academic successes of Citadel cadets and students is a special tradition each semester, even one as atypical as this. But these cadets and students earned their grades in unique circumstances and were able to focus on their studies while transitioning to virtual learning in March 2020," noted the college in a news release.

The make the dean's list cadets and students must be registered for 12 or more semester hours and achieve a grade point average of 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.

Approximately 2,400 cadets and students currently attend The Citadel, where 63% of Citadel cadets and students graduate after four years and go on to earn an average salary of nearly $57,000 after learning how to be principled leaders in all walks of life, noted the college.

The Citadel offers a classic military college education for young men and women focused on leadership excellence and academic distinction, said the college. The approximately 2,400 members of the S.C. Corps of Cadets are not required to serve in the military, but about one-third of each class earn commissions to become officers in every branch of U.S. military service. Citadel alumni have served the nation, their states and their communities as leaders since 1842.
