Only 1 Residential, 2 Commercial Burglaries In Manhattan Beach

Crime was down in Manhattan Beach Oct. 12-25, according to the police department's latest crime report. Petty theft was the most common.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Residential crime was down in Manhattan Beach from October 12 through October 25, according to the latest crime report from the MB Police Department. Just one residential burglary occurred, and it happened on Oct. 23 in the 700 block of 36th Street in the Tree Section.

Two commercial burglaries took place, as well: one in the 900 block of North Sepulveda Boulevard and one in the 2400 block of the same street. Three cars were stolen: one in the 900 block of North Aviation Boulevard; another in the 1400 block of Park View Avenue and the third one in the 500 block of Highland Avenue, according to the report.

Five vehicles were broken into and burglarized; an unlocked vehicle in the 1700 block of 10th Street had items taken from it. The broken-into vehicles were 1700 block of 9th Street [same day as the unlocked vehicle theft]; 300 block of 12th Street; 4000 block of Ocean Drive; 1800 block of Pine Avenue, and 4000 block of The Strand.

The Petty Theft crimes reported occurred 1800 block of Manhattan Beach Boulevard; two the same day in the 1500 block of Rosecrans Avenue; 39th Street and The Strand; 1700 block of 10th Street; 800 block of Duncan Avenue and 1200 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.
