Manhattan Beach Police Say Reported Burglary Was False Alarm

Manhattan Beach Police are on the scene in the Tree Section to deal with a burglary call. They are asking folks to stay inside their homes.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A call reporting a burglary turned out to be a false alarm, according to Manhattan Beach Police Watch Commander Sergeant Taylor Klosowski on scene at Valley Drive and 27th Street, around 4:15 p.m.

Sgt. Klosowki said a resident had heard a noise, thought an intruder was inside their home, left their home and called police. Police were dispatched around 2:50 p.m. today [Sunday, Sept. 27]. After a search of the home and property, no one was found. A perimeter had been set up on Valley Drive and 27th Street, extending down 27th Street to Palm Avenue. Multiple MBPD units were at the scene when Manhattan Beach Patch arrived. Many left shortly thereafter.
