33rd District U.S. Rep. Race: Unofficial Election Results
West L.A. County residents voted for the 33rd Congressional District Representative Tuesday.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — With the results yet to be certified, incumbent Ted Lieu, a Democrat, and CEO James Bradley, a Republican, will go head-to-head in November's general election for California's 33rd Congressional District race.
As of Wednesday, Ted Lieu has 55.6 percent of the vote, followed by James Bradley with 20.78 percent of the vote, Sarah Liew with 7.18 percent, Kenneth Wright with 4.77 percent, Liz Barris with 6.42 percent and Albert Maxwell Goldberg with 5.23 percent of the vote.
Six candidates were running for the position. They were: Incumbent Congressman Ted Lieu (Democrat); Kenneth Wright (no party preference), a physician/surgeon/scientist; Liz Barris (Democrat), a nonprofit director; Albert Goldberg (Democrat); Sarah Sun Liew (Republican), a CEO; and James Bradley (Republican), a CEO and business owner.

California's 33rd Congressional District includes the following cities: Agoura Hills, Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Calabasas, El Segundo, Fairfax District of Los Angeles, Hermosa Beach, Holmby Hills, Malibu, Manhattan Beach, Marina del Rey, Pacific Palisades, Palos Verdes Estates, Playa del Rey, Rancho Palos Verdes, Redondo Beach, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Santa Monica, Santa Monica Mountains communities and parks, Topanga, Torrance (90503 and 90505 zip codes), the UCLA campus, Venice and Westwood.

As of Jan. 3 in Los Angeles County, 88.91 percent of the 6,184,646 eligible voters were registered.
Out of the 5,498,704 total registered voters, 51.11 percent are registered Democrats, 16.81 percent are registered Republicans, 2.4 percent are registered American Independents and 0.42 percent are registered Green Party.
