Redondo Beach Sportfishing relaunched the whale-watching tours in December but is limited to its more intimate 42-passenger boat, the Indian

REDONDO BEACH, CA -- Whale-watching tours are returning to Redondo Beach after a seven-month hiatus, according to the Beach Reporter

Redondo Beach Sportfishing relaunched the whale-watching tours in December but is limited to the more intimate 42-passenger boat, the Indian.

The company's bigger boat, the Voyager, is still out of commission because of damages sustained last spring, according to the Beach Reporter. Customers, however, don't seem to mind, the company said.

“A lot of times, it’s hard for all the deckhands and the naturalists to talk to everybody on the 150-person boats, so people have been very happy with the intimacy,” said Jake Mark, office manager at Redondo Beach Sportfishing told the Beach Reporter. “We’re not a cattle boat.”
