Manhattan Beach residents are being advised Friday to run any cloudy tap water for at least 15 minutes until the water is clear, said City Manager David Carmany, due to two fire hydrant issues that happened within 15 minutes of each other Thursday.
There was no damage to homes and limited water runoff thanks to the quick response time of city departments, including Manhattan Beach Fire, said Carmany.

A truck backing up to service a portable potty at a construction site sheared off a hydrant, sending water into the air, said Sgt. Steve Kitsios of the Manhattan Beach Police Department. The hydrant on Sepulveda Boulevard was hit by a vehicle and then began to leak water from the bottom, he said.
The affected fire hydrants are located on the northeast corner of 3rd Street at Manhattan Avenue and the southwest corner of 14th Street at Sepulveda Boulevard.
