A woman was sprayed in the face with pepper spray or mace Monday around 9:03 a.m. and robbed of her purse, said Detective Sgt. Paul Ford of the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
The incident happened at Laurel and Rosecrans avenues. The black male suspect took the woman's purse off her shoulder and left in a black vehicle similar to a Ford Flex, he said.
