Sign With Racial Slurs, Noose Discovered At Manhattan Beach Park
Manhattan Beach police are investigating the discovery of a handwritten sign with racial slurs on it at Sand Dune Park.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — A sign with racial slurs handwritten on it and a rope tied in the shape of a noose were seen at a Manhattan Beach park Thursday morning, police said.
At about 10:24 a.m. the Manhattan Beach Police Department saw a post on the social media site Nextdoor that showed a photo of the sign and the rope hanging from a tree at Sand Dune Park. Police drove to an isolated portion of the park out of public view to investigate.
When officers arrived they saw the sign, but no rope was located at the scene. City workers removed the sign and officers took a report documenting the incident.
